Fall in Dublin

This weekend was one of those perfect, beautiful, fall weekends that makes you fall in love with the city and want to be outside and soak up every ounce of sunshine you can get.  We really didn't do much but there was plenty of good food and good friends and wandering around and enjoying ourselves and the balmy 55 degree weather.  Lovely.

Our lovely meal at Steps of Rome, a new discovery.

Then we went out with Tracy's friends in town in Ranelagh!  Fun times.
On Saturday, we laid around in bed until 12:30 and headed over to the Queen of Tarts AGAIN.  And guess what??  I'm now the Yelp Duchess there!  Woohooo!

This took a lot of hard work and a lot of meals and pastries, but it paid off.  It's a huge accomplishment and I'm so thrilled!  I'd like to thank Drew for buying my breakfasts and lunches, and the amazing bakers that keep me coming back for more.

Pretty cup o' tea.
Then we wandered around some food markets, some book stores, some other outdoor markets, and spent about an hour in a hardware store stocking up on random stuff.  Fun times.

Fall!
On Saturday night, Missy and Tom had people over for dinner and football - and their set-up was even more elaborate and amazing than last weekend.  They had a beautifully elaborate spread of meats and cheeses for our dining pleasure, and then Missy and Autumn and I made a delish pasta dinner together

Woah baby!!

Gimme gimme gimme
We made Jamie Oliver's Rigatoni with Sweet Tomatoes, Aubergine, Mozzarella, and Sausage!  Yummm.

And Autumn brought an Apricot Tart and a homemade Orange Roulade.  Both were heavenly.
On Sunday we laid around again until about 11 (and skipped church and lunch at the pastor's house, whoops) and then Drew and Tom went golfing, while I did some grocery shopping and met Missy at Herbert Park with her pup to go on a long walk.  And I took lots of random pictures of trees changing colors because I literally didn't think they had seasons here - I thought it went from warmer and rainy to cold and rainy.  But they do!  Thanks be to God!

Frozen pizza, yummy salad, and lots of Skyping last night wrapped up a delightful weekend!  Does anyone even care what we do on our weekends?  Probably not.  But this is also for me to look back on so oh well.  Have a great rest of the weekend!
